The List
We are often asked,"How can I get email addresses to send to?"
Here's a list of ways you can build an your list,

Start with some loyal customers that you email frequently
Create a table display with business card size forms that ask for name and email info. In exchange, give them something for that information. We have a client that has success simply by giving away a pen. Or, if you have a restaurant, you could give away a coupon for a percent off of his or her next meal.

Use an opportunity if you have a booth at an event or tradeshow.

The Content
The thought of having to come up with content for your web site may initially feel like homework. And where do you find the time?
A different way to approach generating content is by capturing what you do on a daily basis. Recall conversations that you had earlier in the day. You can feel confident that you have market tested information when you are sharing what you do every day with your customers.
What would you tell someone who stopped by your store or office? Maybe you want to share some advice, some industry updates or highlight your expertise. Information about existing products or new products, or special offers. Maybe you want to shine the spotlight on your amazing staff and their accomplishments.
By sending out an e-mail newsletter, your recipients can forward on the email and extend your network to a whole new group of people. So get started -- even if your list is small! By sending to even 100 people, you are bound to trigger activity.

The Tools
We recommend using MailChimp for your newsletter service. It is comparable to Constant Contact and other electronic communication tools. These programs streamline the process. They allow you to stay in compliance with current anti-spam laws. These email services also offer analytics to see what percentage of recipients open your email, who they are, and what they’ve clicked on.
Similarly, If you have Google Analytics installed on your web site, you’re able to see activity in your website traffic. You can then see if there are spikes on the days you send out your email blasts, indicating your email campaign is working and driving visitors to your site.
